Functional Safety Manager for Automotive Electronics Our client is looking for candidates who have experience with functional safety management for software and hardware and who are willing to live in Germany and work on-site in the automotive industry with our customers in Germany. Could be either Koblenz, Frankfurt or Wolfsburg. A safety manager you will work closely with people engaged in software projects implementing safety related functions. The job is to ensure that the defined safety management process is followed such that safety related functions and selected hardware are properly analyzed, implemented, and documented in accordance with applicable industry standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience and a documented track record as a high performer. We are looking for people with a profile matching most of the characteristics below: Required technical skills and experience: University degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics or similar Expert knowledge and experience with functional safety management for software and hardware according to ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or EN 50126/EN 50128 or MISRA Experience with the automotive industry and with automotive electronics Experience in a consulting role Good technical writing skills Fluent in the German language, also technical language A good command of the English language It will be considered an advantage if you also have: Experience with development of Embedded Software Experience with development of software for safety-related functions (eg SIL3) Knowledge of AUTOSAR, ECSS-E-ST-40C, DO-178B Knowledge about software process improvement, CMMI, SPICE, Automotive SPICE, ISO 9000 Knowledge of Modelling in Simulink, MATLAB, UML 2.0, SysML, SCADE Knowledge of the railway, space, or aerospace industry Experience with project- and team leadership Personal profile: Very good social skills and the ability to work with all levels in an organisation Very good communications and team-working skills Curious, discerning, with an analytical and fast learning mind Independent and self-starting We offer: A challenging job working with highly skilled colleagues and interesting and professional customers Participation in challenging projects in an international and dynamic environment Excellent career opportunities Flexible working conditions Location: Rheinland-Pfalz, Koblenz
